Brow Ptosis Repair

Brow ptosis occurs when the eyebrow itself droops below the superior orbital rim.  This can be a cosmetic or functional issue.  Brow ptosis may cause a blockage of the superior visual field and disrupt a patient's vision. Surgery can be done to repair this by different techniques depending on the individual patient.

Below diagrams the most common repair of brow ptosis known as a direct brow lift. Other options including a coronal brow lift, pre-trichial brow lift and endoscopic brow lift. Decisions on which brow ptosis repair is optimal is unique to each patient and will be discussed during your consultation as there are considerations including hairline position and scarring.
